What is passion vs love?

Passion and love are two different emotional states that are often confused with each other.

Passion is an intense feeling of strong internal desire or attraction towards someone or something. It is characterized by physical sensations like desire, arousal, and excitement. Passion is often motivated by lust, infatuation or a strong interest in a specific subject or activity. It can be short-lived or fleeting as it is dependent on the intensity of the experience that fueled it.

On the other hand, love is a complex human emotion, often described as a deep sense of affection, care, and connection between two or more individuals. Love is mostly based on emotional attachment, mutual respect, and trust. It can be both physical and emotional in nature, and can endure through challenging circumstances.

While passion and love can co-exist in a relationship, they are not the same. Love is often the foundation of a healthy relationship as it is based on a deeper level of understanding, while passion may come and go. Relationships that are built on fixed perceptions of passion instead of love often dissipate over time.
